Why CareAnchor
Home care matching built around the person delivering the care — not just the organisation providing it.
CareAnchor is a home care matching platform for England. It is the only platform that makes the individual care worker visible to families — matched to their specific needs, backed by endorsements from CQC-registered providers.
The problem
Families are making one of the most important decisions of their lives with almost no useful information.
When a family needs home care, they can find a list of CQC-registered providers. They can read an inspection report. But they cannot find out who will actually walk through their door — whether that person has the right skills for their loved one's specific needs, or what professionals who have worked alongside them say about their practice.
No visibility of who delivers the care
CQC registers the organisation. It cannot tell you who comes on Monday morning — or whether that person has ever worked with someone in your situation before.
Skills go unseen
A family needing dementia support has no way to know which workers specialise in it, what qualifications they hold, or how long they have been doing it.
Assignment, not matching
Home care is allocated by availability. The family's specific needs are rarely the primary criterion. The result is care that works for the rota — not for the person receiving it.
The gap nobody has filled
Every other platform stops at the provider's front door.
Every existing platform — directories, CQC search, commercial aggregators — takes a family as far as the provider organisation. They see a name, a rating, a phone number. The person who will actually come to their home is invisible. This is not an oversight — it is structural. These platforms were built on organisation-level data, and they cannot surface what they were never designed to hold.
Show the organisation. Families see a CQC rating, a list of services, and a phone number. The care worker — the person who matters most — never appears.
Makes the individual worker visible — with peer-validated skills and qualifications — matched to the family's specific needs. Enquiries go to the provider. CareAnchor goes exactly as far as it should, and no further.
How it works
Three actors. One platform. One core mechanism.
Care workers build a verified professional profile. CQC-registered providers endorse the workers they employ — with a star rating and written comment. When a family searches by postcode and care need, they see providers ranked by how many of their endorsed workers match those needs, alongside the workers' aggregate peer ratings.
Families search
By postcode and care need. Results ranked by matched endorsed workers — not by who paid for placement.
Workers build profiles
Specialisms, qualifications, experience, and mandatory training. Portable — belongs to the worker, not their employer.
Providers endorse
CQC-registered providers confirm they have worked with a worker. One click, optional rating and written comment.
Families enquire
Through the provider — never directly to the worker. CareAnchor is an introduction service. All compliance stays with the provider.
"Person-centred care requires person-level matching. A platform that only surfaces the organisation is structurally unable to deliver that."
The quality case
Person-centred care requires person-level matching.
Domiciliary care outcomes depend heavily on the relationship between the worker and the person receiving care. That relationship starts with the right match.
A worker's qualifications, specialist training, and years of experience are invisible on every current platform. CareAnchor makes them searchable and matched.
Endorsements from multiple providers create a multi-perspective picture of a worker's professional reputation — far more robust than a single employer reference.
Over time, endorsement data becomes a genuine quality signal for the sector — a new lens on workforce quality for commissioners, councils, and insurers alike.

Checks and balances
The endorsement system is designed so it cannot be gamed.
Trust is the platform's most important asset. Every design decision in the endorsement system is there to protect it.
CQC-only endorsers
Only regulated, registered providers can endorse. Workers cannot endorse themselves or each other.
Comment mandatory at 4–5 stars
High ratings require a written comment. This forces reflection and deters inflation.
Multi-provider aggregate
Ratings aggregate across all endorsing providers — no single relationship can dominate a profile.
Enquiries to providers only
Families contact the registered provider. Individual workers' personal details are never exposed.
Introduction service only
DBS checks, compliance, and employment obligations remain entirely with registered providers.
Self-declared qualifications
Qualifications are declared by workers. Provider endorsements are the platform's primary trust signal — made clear to every family.
Where we are going
Worker-first search — the destination state.
Today families find providers first, with endorsed workers shown beneath. As the worker community grows, the search flips — workers become the primary result, matched directly to care needs, with the providers who back them shown as the route to contact. Here is a preview of that future.
